Appearance
- An eye that turns in or out
- Chronic crusting of the eyelids
- A difference in appearance of the two eyes in relation to each other
Behavior
- Head tipped to a specific position each time critical seeing is to be done
- Difficulty in keeping the place when reading
- Disinterest in anything involving reading
Complaints
- Frequent burning or itching of the eyes
- Blurred or double vision
- Blurring or moving around of print after a short time of reading or doing close work
Hearing Observations
- Hearing impairment affects not only the ears but also the total child.
- Hearing impairment may affect a child’s ability to develop normal speech.
